Payments

When you cannot charge online, you end up asking for a transfer, a deposit, or payment on arrival. And every time you charge on arrival, you are betting the person shows up.

- How long does setup actually take?
- Most properties start taking bookings the same day. Send us your spreadsheet or access to your current system and we set up rooms, rates, and experiences.
- What does migration cost?
- Nothing. We do it for you, whatever you are coming from, and we bring your existing bookings across.
- Do you charge commission per booking?
- No. No commission, no percentage, no extra charge in high season. The monthly price is the price.
- What counts as a room, and what counts as a bed or a campsite?
- Anything you rent as its own indoor space is a room: a hotel room, a cabin, a suite, a whole apartment. A dorm bed is one bed sold individually inside a shared room. A campsite is a pitch. Rooms are the room rate; dorm beds and campsites are the lower rate, because you sell more of them for less each. Pick your property type in the calculator and only your own units show up.
- Can I keep my current website?
- Yes. The booking engine drops into the site you already have. And if you would rather not touch it, we give you a booking page on your own domain.
- Can I sell tours to people who are not staying?
- Yes. Experiences have their own availability, so someone coming for the day can book the tour without booking a room.
- What about my Booking and Airbnb listings?
- Recama exchanges calendars with Airbnb, Booking, and Vrbo so your dates stay blocked in both directions, and we are adding deeper connections one at a time. If your hotel lives mostly on OTA distribution and you need full sync across dozens of channels today, a channel manager is the right tool and we will tell you so.
